The IACDL is a professional organization for criminal defense attorneys in Iowa. It was established in 1992 in Des Moines and includes private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, and law students interested in criminal defense practice.
We are dedicated to supporting criminal defense attorneys through education, advocacy, professional development, and the promotion of justice throughout Iowa.
The Iowa Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers supports attorneys through education, advocacy, networking, and resources that strengthen criminal defense across Iowa.
ASSOCIATION GOALS

To promote study and research in the field of criminal defense law and the related arts.

To disseminate and advance by lectures, seminars, and publications the knowledge of the law relating to criminal defense practice.
